The choir held free cultural workshops after school in the Cathedral Precincts. These were well attended and a good time was had by all the participants. The workshops were on Japanese Flower Arranging, Koto (Japanese Harp), Origami, Shodo (Calligraphy) and Kimono dressing.

In the evening we will be held a joint concert with the Kurume Shinai Girls' School Choir from Japan at Peterborough Cathedral as part of their tour of Great Britain. The performance was of a very high quality and full of energy and movement, despite the long journey from Japan.

We were joined by soloist Melissa Holding who performed traditional Japanese pieces and her own compositions on the koto (Japanese Harp).
